The iSoar Networls Founder, Andy Smith asked Dr. Price this question in her application/interview process?

Andy Smith: What features do you think are needed to help advance our educational system?

Dr. Price: To truly advance our educational system, we must address the diverse and evolving needs of students, families, and educators. Education does not exist in isolation; it thrives when it is inclusive, supportive, and collaborative. I believe four key areas require our immediate attention to ensure meaningful progress:

1. Support for Students of Diverse Cultures

Our classrooms are rich with cultural diversity, and this is a strength we must embrace. A robust educational system provides curriculum and resources that reflect and celebrate different cultures, histories, and perspectives. It also equips educators to understand and address the unique challenges faced by students from varying cultural backgrounds. When students see their identities reflected in their education, they feel valued, engaged, and empowered to succeed.

2. Support for Families Guiding Learning at Home

Many families face challenges in supporting their children's education, particularly when it comes to homework and learning reinforcement. Schools must provide accessible tools and workshops that empower parents and guardians with the skills and confidence to assist their children effectively. Translating resources into multiple languages and offering flexible scheduling for family support sessions are just a few ways to address these needs.

3. A Unified Platform for Educators and Families

We need a centralized, user-friendly platform that serves as a "one-stop shop" for support. This platform could include lesson plans, progress tracking, communication tools, tutoring options, and resources for families to collaborate with educators. A shared space fosters transparency, builds trust, and ensures everyone involved in a child’s education is aligned in their efforts.

4. A Renewed Focus on Literacy and Closing Learning Gaps

The pandemic has left many students with significant gaps in their education, especially in foundational areas like literacy. Addressing this requires a twofold approach: targeted interventions for struggling students and systemic reforms to prioritize literacy across all grade levels. Investing in small group instruction, tutoring, and reading programs is essential, as is ensuring all educators are trained to teach literacy skills effectively. As we strive to build a more equitable and effective educational system, we must remember that education is a shared responsibility. By supporting our students, empowering our families, fostering collaboration, and addressing gaps with urgency, we can create a brighter future for all.

This response without reservation landed Dr. Chenelle as a highly qualified candidate for the ISBOA (iSoar International Board Of Advisors). The iSoar Network is a globally recognized platform that connects leaders, innovators, and change-makers to create meaningful impact. By fostering collaboration and promoting visionary ideas, the organization empowers individuals and communities to reach their full potential. Its International Board of Advisors includes an elite group of professionals from diverse sectors, each committed to advancing the organization’s mission.

Dr. Price’s appointment signals a new chapter of growth and innovation for the iSoar Network. Her leadership will undoubtedly enhance the organization’s ability to influence positive change on a global scale.
